Common law Advance Directives are the only Advance Directives that exist and are legally binding in Tasmania. Statutory Advance Directives do not exist.
Tasmanian Health has developed an Advance Care Directive form that a person may wish to use to document their medical treatment decisions, values and preferences. However, this document is not a Statutory Advance Directive.
